Health and Safety

Safety of a person is the ultimate objective of EESPL during business. EESPL believes that all injuries, occupational illnesses as well as safety and environmental incidents are preventable. EESPL strives to become a leader in implementing and maintaining Health & Safety Guidelines.

EESPL is committed to:

  • Create culture of learning and practicing Health, Safety procedures and practices among all its employees and contractors.
How EESPL strives to achieve Health & Safety Objectives: 
  • Employees at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is necessary for the safety among all workers on the job site.
  • Management supports participation in the program by all employees and provides proper equipment, training and procedures.
  • Carrying out process and operational changes through well-defined systems and strict adherence to the same
  • Employees at EESPL are responsible for following all procedures, working safely, and, wherever possible, improving safety measures.
  • An injury and accident-free workplace is our goal. Through continuous safety and loss control, we can accomplish this.
  • Supervisors are held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe and that workers work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures. Workers receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect their health and safety.
  • Training and validating employees and contractors on health and safety practices.
  • Investigating all incidents relating to Health, Safety including minor ones and near misses, followed by implementation of corrective measures
  • Communicating learning from investigations of incidents internal and external, to all employees and taking steps to prevent such occurrences in future.

EESPL has a redressal system to handle complaints from female employees and it is covered under Protection of Women’s Rights at Workplace Policy. We have constituted apex and regional complaints committees to address cases of sexual harassment at the workplace, if any.

Training and skill development are the pillars which uphold EESPL’s capacity-building agenda. We impart training in new skills in emerging fields to employees. We offer several training modules for employee development and skill building to meet various facets of the organization’s growth and performance.
